Domaine Valma was created by a couple who loved wine and Beaujolais, who cut their teeth in marketing and wine trading, which is where the project began to mature. Valentine retrained by completing a Professional Agricultural Baccalaureate, she is in charge of production. Stéphane is still trading fine wines, he takes care of the commercial part of the estate. Beaujolais was an obvious choice, Stéphane was born here, the region is magnificent and Gamay flourishes fully there. It was unthinkable to look for land elsewhere... The Domaine is built on discussions, sharing the experiences of winegrower friends, neighbours and the support of families.

Valma is the contraction of “Val (the valley)”, characteristic of Beaujolais and more precisely of the place where the estate is located, and “alma” the soul in Spanish or “to nourish/raise” in Latin . The objective is to create wines with soul and to raise the vines as naturally as possible.
