We’re incredibly honoured to share with you the wines of Jessica Litaud. A brilliant young talent in the Mâconnais, Jessica turned heads with her impressive maiden vintage in 2019. Litaud's wines are characterized by their purity, and fruit concentration, which is balanced by gentle oak and mineral nuances. Combining wonderful tension and clarity, they have the rare combination of immediacy and considerable aging potential.
Jessica has five hectares of old, biodynamically farmed vines in top Mâconnais vineyards, including some of Pouilly-Fuisse’s long-awaited 1er Crus. She trained with Jura legend JF Ganevat, and Macon master Jean Marie Guffens. She makes her wines with gentle pressing and extended elevage in old barrels. They have a balance between generosity and restraint thats the hallmark of only the best white Burgundy.
This young vigneron has catapulted to the top of almost every wine enthusiasts must try list and with good reason; her wines are breathtaking, singular, and unlike anything we’ve ever experienced before.
Finding these wines within the global market place is quite difficult as Jessica makes only a small amount of wine, all by hand, and her 2023 vintage is the first to be completely certified organic.
Please note that these wines are available in only two places within all of North America, with our friends in Quebec (Agence Lieux-Dits) and with us. Thats it.
Jessica Litaud is demonstrating what can be achieved from ‘humble” Mâconnais terroir as she is crafting crystalline white Burgundies, that are amongst the very best in our portfolio.
This is a world class domaine in the making and we are so thrilled to share them with you.
