This young upstart domaine has captured our heart!

A new discovery that has us excited for the future. In creating the name of their estate, Le Puy de l’Ours, Juliette Puyperoux (=’Puy’) and Jean Orsoni (= ‘Ours’) decided to share the spotlight and created a portmanteau name for their domaine from a fusion of their last names. When they first met in Paris, Juliette was distributing wine for Rothschild and decided she wanted to delve deeper into production. Jean was aimed for a career as a banker, whose work often took him to Beaune.

Around 2017, they decided to return to Beaune to live their dream. In 2020, they set up shop in Savigny, and began farming their certified organic vines. In their first 2021 vintage they made a tiny 5000 bottle lot. The wines are pure, full of energy, and light on their feet—an excellent calling card for any wine!
